Nature is a common theme in my paintings. However, I am more interested in the vast space with colors and various shapes than the detail descriptions of a specific location.

To me, color is a way for nature to express its emotions and shape/line is a poetic narrative.  Memories of a far away forest, childhood neighborhood, places visited long ago, seemingly unrelated events and places can all come together and melt into each other to become a painting.
